Geoff is the founder of Young Car Driver and an FCA-Approved Senior Manager (SMF29) for car‑finance credit broking at Autedia Limited, the company behind the site. He takes personal responsibility for the integrity of our guidance for the UK’s 4.8 million young drivers, covering the full car ownership journey—from learning to drive and buying a first car, to insurance and everyday road safety.

Verity is the Personal Finance Editor at Young Car Driver and has been part of the team for over two and a half years. A UK personal finance journalist with 14+ years’ experience, she specialises in making car finance and insurance transparent for the 4.8 million young drivers we serve and their families.

Gareth’s love for motoring began with a green VW Polo that proudly leaked oil wherever it went — like it was marking its territory. He brings real-world know-how and a no-nonsense approach to helping young drivers build confidence on the road.

Rebecca is an award-winning personal finance journalist with 15+ years' experience. Her work has appeared in The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Times, and The Independent — making her one of the UK’s most trusted consumer voices.

Luca's first car is a red Alfa Romeo – small, stylish, and convinced it is a Ferrari. Luca is 18 and has recently passed his driving test. He shares honest updates from his driving lessons, test prep to passing his test and onwards his future first car adventures — giving a real look at life as a young driver in the UK.

Anton is a cartoon illustrator with 10+ years’ experience. He worked with Geoff to create the characters and visuals seen across Young Car Driver. His bold, simple style helps make key topics — like driving, insurance, and finance — more engaging and easier to understand..
