Geoff Tooze

Geoff is the founder of Young Car Driver and leads the site’s strategy, content direction, and compliance oversight. As founder of Autedia Limited, the company behind Young Car Driver, he is responsible for ensuring the site’s guides are clear, accurate, and genuinely useful for young drivers across the UK.

He plays a central role in shaping both the editorial standards and the commercial framework of the site, helping to ensure content remains independent, transparent, and easy to understand. This includes overseeing how regulated topics such as car finance and insurance are presented, so users can make informed decisions without pressure or confusing sales language.

Autedia Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as a credit broker under limited permissions, specialising in consumer hire and hire purchase agreements. The firm is also an Introducer Appointed Representative of Seopa Ltd, trading as Quotezone.co.uk, for insurance introductions. As the firm’s FCA-approved Senior Manager (SMF29), Geoff has senior management responsibility for regulatory oversight of these activities.

Before launching Young Car Driver, Geoff worked in construction and PFI procurement. He created the site because he believed young drivers needed clearer, more independent guidance, particularly around insurance, finance, and the real cost of getting on the road.
