Meet Luca
Luca writes from recent first-hand experience as a young driver, sharing what it is really like to learn, practise, pass your test, and start driving independently.
He joined Young Car Driver while he was still learning to drive and documented the process as he went, from booking the theory test to private practice, test-day nerves, and building confidence behind the wheel.
Having passed his driving test in 2025, Luca now continues to write about life as a new driver, including the emotional side of learning, staying motivated, driving in new situations, and owning a car as a student.
Now in his first year at university, Luca brings a relatable voice to Young Car Driver, helping learners and new drivers feel more prepared, less stressed, and more understood.
