Rebecca Goodman

Rebecca's Bio

Rebecca has been freelance for five years, working across all of the national newspapers and a number of specialist publications. Her work regularly appears in The Guardian, The Times, The Mail on Sunday and the i newspaper. She writes about all aspects of personal finance but focuses on insurance, household bills, consumer issues and everyday money.

Over her career, Rebecca has made it her aim to demystify personal finance issues by taking often-complicated issues and writing about them in a simple way people can understand. She believes it’s crucial to educate people from an early age on how to manage their money better.

Away from her journalism, Rebecca started a side hustle in the pandemic, making and sending postal brownie boxes, and she is also a skilled wedding baker. After moving out of London in 2021, she now lives in Cambridgeshire with her two young daughters.

Rebecca’s Experience

One of Rebecca’s first jobs in journalism was as a writer for Moneywise magazine before spending time at Lovemoney as a reporter. She then went on to work for MoneySavingExpert and ThisisMoney before making the leap into freelance work in 2018. Now she regularly writes for all of the national newspapers and works with several corporate clients including John Lewis, MoneySuperMarket, Direct Line and Experian.
