Geoff's Bio
Geoff founded Young Car Driver following a successful career in the construction and PFI procurement industries.
Geoff was inspired to create Young Car Driver after noticing a lack of resources and access to insurance and finance deals targeted at young and newly qualified drivers. The site aims to provide an honest resource for young drivers, covering everything from learning to drive to buying and owning a car.
He believes that the young want to be treated with respect and know what they want, whether that’s getting transparency and truth when considering buying a car or having access to car finance and insurance that fits their budget and offers good value for money.
When he’s not making improvements to the Young Car Driver website, seeking new partnerships to benefit our users, and overseeing the company’s strategic goals, Geoff loves exploring Ashdown Forest with his fox-red Labrador, Bella, in search of Winnie the Pooh and friends.
He also loves channelling his analytical brain and creativity into his cooking and is never happier than when he is whipping up Italian dishes with plenty of freshly chopped herbs.
Geoff’s Experience
He has over nine years of experience writing about every aspect of motoring in the UK. He writes largely with the young drivers’ perspective in mind and stays informed on the latest statistics, legislative changes, and motoring trends that may impact this audience.
Geoff has been approved to act as a car finance broker by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and is an introducer-appointed representative (IRA) for car insurance. This accreditation means Young Car Driver adheres to ethical standards, implements governance controls, and maintains transparency with customers and regulators.
